Every HyperDAAC scene offers six Land Classification bands. You can select any of these from the Layers menu. Selecting a layer will install it as a lens, which you can open and view as usual. In the case of a generated scene, the band is also generated - and cached for future viewing - when you first load the layer.
These bands are not presented with a colourmap: you are presented instead with a colour editor. This permits you to select exactly which classifications you wish to highlight, and in what colours.

The classification layers are as shown in the table: for further information, please see the information in EDC's webpages.
The data are property of the US Government, which has made them freely available. They are provided as-is in the HyperDAAC product. Please note that WebÞing is not responsible for, and cannot support, the data except insofar as we may update this product as and when new data become available.
The image shows an area of southern England. The lens (which is centred near WebÞing's R&D office) is the IGBP classification layer. Within that layer, three classifications have been selected and are highlighted in particular colours. Pixels having other classifications are not shown, so the underlying NDVI image remains visible.
