- (a)
- You normally start with a whole-world overview image
at 64Km (shown) or 32Km (1251x542 pixels scrolling) resolution.
- (b)
- HyperLens® Lenses
extend the familiar concept of Layers.
They are loaded using the Layers menu, and controlled using the
lens buttons (on/off toggle) and the tabs (move/resize).
- (c)
- The AVHRR Browse Archive contains a
total of 930 Global AVHRR satellite data products. This lens shows
a fragment from one of them.
- (d)
- Six Land Classification data products are
included. Each of these offers an interactive colourmap editor.
- (e)
- The underlying image is a global composite made from NDVI data.
The NDVI lens is a filter, showing a greyscale image without colourmap.
- (f)
- The Query lens enables you to extract a scene at high resolution
(1Km - 16Km). This fragment shows the south-west tip of England, including
WebÞing's R&D office, with lenses open on fragments from the
NDVI band and the IGBP Land Classification product.
- (g)
- The geographic coordinates follow the cursor whenever it is over
the scene. Distances are also shown if you drag the mouse.
