In response to feedback from early beta tests, we are providing an automated installer, built using Zero G Software's "Install Anywhere". This gives you a very simple installation procedure, and on Windows platforms adds the HyperDAAC to your Start Menu. It requires a simple post-installation configuration step, in which you specify:
The configuration tool will run for you the first time you run the software, and any time it cannot find the CDROM. After exiting, just run the HyperDAAC program again to launch the real application.
The complete auto-install instructions are:
Note - the MacOS and Unix installers do not execute directly
from the CDROM. This is a limitation of the filesystem used on the
CDROM. For Unix, "sh install.bin" will work; for MacOS
you can copy the install to your harddisc, run it, and delete it.
The installation requires about 1Mb hard disc space (the product runs mostly from the CDROM). Further disc space is required whenever you generate a high-resolution scene.
